Helping you find the perfect baby crib for home or travel

Cheap Baby Cribs

For parents in this economy, getting quality furniture for their nursery is on top of the shopping list. Now if we look at it from a price perspective, a lot of moms, dads and caretakers will think that only high-ticket nursery furniture can actually be good and stable for years to come. Challenging this myth, many frugal parents have been scouring the internet, yard/garage sales and other locations for an alternative option.

When it comes to baby cots and cribs, you can actually find quality items used. Cheap baby cribs abound on the internet, and with locations such as Amazon, eBay and Craigslist becoming more and more widespread, your baby items are now spread across a whole digital network. The best part? Quality used baby furniture that is also cheap.

On eBay, you can find many affordable baby cribs in the Baby category, so do take a look. Usually pictures of the crib (and its accessories) are available for you to check out. One thing I ask you to do when checking out online retailers for baby equipment is this: make sure the mattress is still in good shape and does not smell. Some smells are particularly hard to get out of an old mattress if it has not been taken care if properly. On the same note, ensuring you find something in the desccription about the spring consistency of the baby mattress is important, especially for your child’s spinal structure possibly being affected by a sub-standard mattress.

As far as cheap and affordable baby cribs go, online is good, but offline is better. Check out your local yard sales (or garage sales as Aussies and Brits call ‘em!) and test the most important things out yourself: mattress consistency, materials, parts instructions and so on.
